Michael Hackman - Managing Director

Michael has been involved with the gaming and lottery industries since 1978. His experience includes executive management experience spanning five Australian government-licensed casinos, specialising in the opening and establishment of operations and the conceptualisation and implementation of wide-area networked games.

In 1993, Michael founded the Admirals Group to provide operational management expertise to the growing local and regional gaming markets, commencing with the gaming management contracts onboard the Tasmanian government-owned Spirit of Tasmania ships, P&O Cruises and Norwegian Capricorn Line. Today he heads up a team with considerable experience in all facets of gaming management, policy advice and regulation in both Australian and international jurisdictions.

Michael has completed a Master of Politics and Public Policy from Macquarie University, a Graduate Certificate of Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of NSW, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Graduate of the Royal Australian Air Force Officer Training School.

As a part of his commitment to the community, Michael is currently Vice President of the Tasmanian Section of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and has been bestowed Life Membership for services to this iconic Australian organisation.


Gary Garton - Chairman, Compliance Committee

Gary is a highly respected chairman and company director with considerable experience at a global level. Gary's extensive resume includes the positions of Executive Director of Brambles Limited, Managing Director of Aristocrat Limited, Executive Chairman of IGT (Australia), a Director of the Australian Gaming Machine Manufacturers Association, CEO of Brink's Inc (USA) and Chairman of Brink's Europe.

He is also holds various other board positions, including public listed companies, has a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, where he has been a regular speaker.
